I finally got the guts to let my Blazer go. This was the first vehicle I purchased with my own money when I was 17. It is a 1989 S10 Blazer. Her name his Heidi. I haven't really driven it much in the last 5 years. I've just kept it sitting around for something to look at. haha. I should have sold it a long time ago. I just didn't have the heart to let it go. Finally today I called a Junk/Used car guy to come take a look at it. I wanted $500.00 for it and thought it would be a good "fixer-upper". Well the guy said he would only give me $200.00 for it because he could only use it for parts. It was a very sad day!!

Shrek, Oh Shrek
Not sure if you have heard about our 2nd child Shrek. Well about a 3 months ago we noticed Shrek was acting funny. He wasn't using the bathroom and was throwing up every time after eating. In his vomit we noticed these little chunks of rubber coming up. We took him to the vet for some testing and come to find out Shrek had eaten a tennis ball! Yes, an entire tennis ball. He got pretty close to going under surgery to extract the blockage but the vet wanted to try one last thing. They gave him some medicine to relax his stomach and thank god, because he bypassed the rest of the tennis ball. We were hoping our dog had taught himself a valuable lesson but.........NO he didn't. (Side note: On average if I give him a tennis ball he demolishes it in 4 minutes.) Well Shrek's birthday was this month "June". He decided to give us a present this year. On a Thursday morning we woke up to 7 piles of diarrhea and one giant pile of throw up in our house. As I'm getting paper towels to start cleaning I hear Aiden yelling, "MY SILLY BANDS, AND MY BASKETBALL!" This time in his vomit was a wad of app. 15 Silly Bands, and a rubber basketball a little smaller than a baseball. We again monitored him for a few days. About 3 days in we woke up to a foul smell and he was in his cage laying all in crap. You could tell he was in some pain and was bleeding out his back end. We immediately took him to his vet and they sent Ashley to an emergency surgery clinic to once again have an extraction. Also once again they are trying to postpone the surgery and gave us the medicine to relax his stomach. He still is having extreme diarrhea but is acting a little better. The bleeding has stopped for the most part. Now it is a waiting game to see if he can get the rest of the blockage out. Hopefully he'll get better. Keep Shrek in your prayers.

Golf 2011
So for the past few years I've been getting back into golf......a lot. With my new job I don't have a set schedule. This allows me to be off during the week when Papa and his golf partner (Hal) go golfing. I dream about playing golf. I have trouble sleeping at night knowing that I'm playing golf tomorrow. It's like Christmas morning for me!! Here is some photos of my favorite past-time.
Water Skiing
My friend bought a boat a few weeks ago. I went out on it with him yesterday and had a blast. We cruised around Falls Lake for a while. Then we decided to water ski. Now I haven't tried skiing in over 12 years. And as far as I can remember I don't think I could actually get up on the skis back then. I pulled up on the first try. I rode around for several minutes. I actually did really good. I was getting comfortable towards the end and ate a hard wave trying to show off. I ended up having both the ski's come down and wack me in the head. By the time my Buddie swung the boat around to come get me I could already feel 2 eggs growing on my head. I might hold out a bit before trying this again. Here's a very poor quality video of me riding the wake!! The camera stopped filming seconds before I ate the water.
Another Doctors Appointment
So come Spring is a great time of the year for Ashley and I. As everyone knows Aiden is very prone to getting sick/colds. On top of that he has bronchial problems so whenever he does catch a common/simple cold it gets bad real quick. Spring means it's the end of Winter and "Cold Season"!! As we put up the nebulizer, inhalers, humidifiers, and medicines thinking cold season is over for for Aiden he gets a cold. We take him to the doctor and they say he has pneumonia again. He had to have been miserable being sick like that in hot weather. This is a picture Ashley took of Aiden at the doctor getting a nebulizer treatment.
Baseball Playoffs in the House
A few weeks ago me and Aiden were playing baseball in the house and Aiden asked Ashley to take some pictures of his baseball swing. Can you tell how hard he's swinging! He posed so perfectly!
Hiking
I just thought this was a really cute picture of Aiden and Shrek on one of our hikes. A few weeks ago me Ashley and Aiden walked the Falls Lake Dam.
