So here is an odd post. I tend to forget we have a blog and I'm going to update you on a few random funny things that has happened lately. Here it goes......... Aiden told me the other day that he can't wait for school to be over. He says he doesn't want to see his friend, Justin again. Justin is a little more rambunctious then most kids. He is also the biggest child in Aiden's preschool class."Aiden wants me to add that he is the fastest too." He has a twin brother in another class and they both are wide open......all....day.....long!!! Aiden has learned quite a few things from this kid that he's brought home to us. (Most for the worst) He told me today that he's tired of Justin beating him up on the playground.......But today he said he won!! He told me Justin pushed him down and he got up and grabbed his pinkie finger and bent it back. I was telling Ashley this and she said Aiden has told her this on several different occasions. I don't mind if Aiden stands up to the bully in his class but I really hope we don't get a call from the teacher that Aiden has broke a childs pinkie at school.
So Ashley bought Aiden a new pair of shoes the other day. They're Airwalks that he picked out and they light up all over. ("Side Note" Now for a guy, I love some shoes. Anyone that knows me knows that I always wear a clean pair of Nike's! I have always been like this. I treasure my shoes and like to make them last.") Well Aiden is a true Dickerson... We bought him these really rad light up shoes and now he won't wear them. He sets them on the half-wall next to our front door so we can all look at them. He claims he will only wear them when the grass is wet, when he rides his bike, when he wants to walk..."Not Run", or when he goes to Monkey Joe's. (so they don't get dirty) What have I got myself into.......
Aidens Preschool Graduation is this Thurs. I can't believe my little buddie is walking across the stage in 2 days. He'll be starting kindergarten in Aug. We went to his school to take a tour and meet the teachers last week. Aiden enjoyed this a lot. He liked all the teachers and explored each's classrooms thoroughly. His favorite part of the classrooms was the pencil sharpeners mounted on the wall. (You remember those silver metal ones with the crank? Yeah, they still have them) We walked the school and saw the playgrounds, library, gym, and his favorite.......the cafeteria. He said he can't wait to bring his own lunch "peanut butter & jelly" and eat with his friends. If you ask him today, "Are you excited about kindergarten?" He'll say "Yeah I get to eat a PB & J every day!!"
On Friday Ashley and Aiden are heading to Reno, NV. Ashley's grandparents have been traveling in there camper since March and are in NV for 2 months. Her and Aiden get to go visit for 10 days. I wish so bad I could get off work to go see my family. I feel like it's been so long since I've gotten to see everyone! I will have several pictures of there trip very soon.
